Walid’s Fund, a registered 501 (c) (3) charitable organization serving people, refugees living in crisis.
We are a group of people who believe in the power of humanity. The cause of Syrian refugee crisis moved us. We were compelled to take action. After a lot of brainstorming, a couple of visits to the refugee camp sites, it was decided that we would not distribute handouts but we would empower the individuals. Furthermore, contemplation and expert inputs led to the conclusion that teaching the refugees job skills would be the right path to proceed on.
While we began as a small group, people from all walks of life have come forward to support us. It is because of all those who have faith in us and in our efforts, that we have been able to carry on this journey of empowering the Syrian refugees to eliminate the crisis from the root. It has been a very humbling experience. We are thankful to all of you and we believe you will continue to support us in empowering humanity to live with dignity.

Our Vision |
Our vision is empowerment of humanity to live with dignity. Everyone deserves right to be empowered and to live with self-respect. We motivate, educate and elevate those who do not have the opportunity or resources. All are not born equal but all deserve a chance to change their circumstances and turn their life around. We want to empower those who are without hope to rise and be an asset to their family, community, nation and society at large. We believe human spirit is resilient, powerful and positive even amid great suffering.
Our purpose is serving humanity. We help the survivors of the biggest humanitarian disaster since WWII. We provide unique opportunities via vocational training, job and employability skills so that they can help themselves by starting small scale enterprises within the camps or seek employment in the local economy. Upon generating income, they will be able to take care of their families and send their children to school.
We Instill confidence & leadership skills to elevate their standard of living & thinking. |
Our goal is to inspire hope by developing practical occupational skills among the adults. With skills, individuals & groups can help each other and begin to earn money by selling services & crafts. Job skills bring income and hope for a stable future. Skills bring new confidence in individuals and families. Our remedy is simple, original and is making a difference. Practical job skills across a range of occupations, each with the potential to improve circumstances for the families now prepare them for the hoped-for return to their homes in Syria. We tap innate talent & skills & promote self-reliance & new enterprises within the camps.
